for Amy Berkowitz
Amy I am going to prevent myself from writing a poem.
Amy I am going to prevent myself from writing this poem.
Amy you cannot stop me from writing this poem no not ever.
Amy you are the color blue & the color rust & the color smoke.
Evening descending on the hills I forget the names of westerly,
gentle. Amy let’s be friends. I unwind all the tapes
to make bracelets of songs & the familiarity of friendship
means we can say Ren Faire instead of Renaissance Faire
& I am kind of happy again thanks
